The start of my UNI work #finalcollection

September is nearing and I cant wait, last may I took a gap year called DPP which is where I had to go out into the industry and find Fashion Placements in order to get a Diploma as well as my Degree in Fashion, my year out has been great I have learned so much and met some truly amazing people along the way, I opened a shop and went self employed and although I no longer have the shop it was such a great experience and I learned so much of that side of things. I have also took up knitting and although its still early days I already feel confident that if I keep practicing I will continue to get better and better, I went directly as a sole trader which is proving difficult but I love my job and will continue to stick at it. In the year I have had off I have done a lot of photo shoots made two collections and now on my 3rd, I have took part in shows and events and done a festival selling my work, the list is endless but I can safely say I have put my hands in a lot of pots and all of them have given me something back.
But now september is coming and I am soon to make my return to UNI where I will make my final collection and hopefully walk away with a 1st, in fact I will walk away with a 1st! My collection is based on costume design but with a twisted twist! I have a huge love for comic books and comic characters, the Joker being one of them, the concept of my collection is a twisted love affair based on the Joker and Harley Quinn, I'm super excited to start on this collection properly as its a completely new avenue, costume design is something that interests me but I've never had the balls to try it...well those balls of grown.
