As of Monday evening, I have been learning how to knit. I recently bought my self a knitting machine because I've been wanting to learn how to make big over sized jumpers and some big scarfs. I know its going to be a long process before i have mastered the art of knitting I'm hoping I can have some jumpers made before next winter. I'm doing this knit placement as part of my DPP year out from university. although its only been two evenings that I have been learning, but I'm really enjoying it I find it really intriguing to watch how the yarn builds up every time you knit a row.
I can now cast on and cast off and I have also been playing around making little patterns using a knitting tool as well as picking the stitch back up. It did take me a few goes to get the hang of casting off properly my piece kept falling of or getting stuck but I've got it now and last night I was a lot quicker at getting it off :)
