I dont want to watch TV...I want to sketch

Sometimes I find it hard to sketch and its not very often I do because my mind will go blank and they never end up looking how I want them to look or I just end up changing my mind anyway. I don't sketch in colour very often because again I always change my mind. As I'm working on two new collections I have over 60 pieces of garments to design and make so I thought it would be best if I do sketch at least then I know where my heads at! The POP goes the print collection is starting to form very nicely. I'm really happy with the progress and direction the collection is going in and I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished and photographed which I will be doing my self...My other collection 'pretty little dentelle' is a collection based on lace, Inspired by sophisticated and independent women but also staying on trend with pastel colours. I recently found some beautiful mint green fabric which is perfect for four of the dresses that have been designed, I still need to source a lot of fabric for this collection but I have been picking up lovely lace trimmings up as well as bits of fabric that can be used as sections or panels for the dresses! All the dresses will have a sexy, elegant and sophisticated look to them.

So finally London came around and it was amazing!! I signed my 1st ever contract and it felt so good!!! The company loved my new stuff that i brought down to them, I made some new contacts and gained some new friends which Im really happy about. I was interviewed for their blog and a magazine came to interview all the designers as well. All in all it was a brilliant day, everyone had a good time it was well organized well thought through. MKDrocks is a new Boutique specializing in up and coming designers, not only do they sell the designers work but they promote them as well and basically help them break into the industry.
